The hit FX Network Golden Globe Nominated horror-drama series American Horror Story has been renewed for a second season and the award winning casting team is now holding auditions in Los Angeles for new series regulars. The show's format is anthology based, whereas the story, characters, and location for each season is different. The show's guest stars and extras will be cast throughout the season, which begins shooting July, 2012. The second season of "American Horror Story" will take place in an East Coast asylum for the criminally insane, although filming will take place in Los Angeles.

The Matt Damon starring vehicle "Promised Land" is holding an open casting call for extras in the Pittsburgh area. The casting director also needs volunteers to help out at the open casting call, which is expected to have a large turnout. Filming will take place in Apollo, Avonmore and other surrounding areas in Pennsylvania from late April to early June, 2012. Email submissions are also being accepted for people who can not attend the open casting call. In addition to Hemsworth's wife, and a new love interest, all of the starring and supporting roles are up for grabs in this time-travel movie where Liam's character Rory builds a machine in order to visit his beloved late wife one last time. Summit Entertainment, the production company behind "The Twilight Saga" films, has acquired the rights to the youth-oriented "Ender's Game" franchise. An open casting call has been scheduled seeking bright and talented kids and teens ages 10 - 17 of varying ethnic backgrounds. Talent must be located within reasonable driving distance of New Orleans, LA. The shoot is scheduled to run from February 2, 2012 through June 8, 2012. The casting directors are especially interested in home-schooled kids and teens due to the filming schedule during school hours. An on-set teacher is required to be provided by the production company for all minors, therefore it is not absolutely necessary to be home-schooled.
