The Disney Channel Original Movie "Teen Beach Musical" is now in production and casting for day players and extras is ongoing throughout filming. Production is taking place in Puerto Rico for a premiere in 2013 as part of the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise. 2011 was the fifth consecutive year a Disney Channel Original Movie was the year’s number one cable TV movie in Total Viewers, and the 10th consecutive year Disney Channel has delivered the number one original movie telecast among kids ages 9-14.

Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Walt Disney Pictures are set to begin principal photography on the star studded feature film "The Lone Ranger" on February 3, 2012. Shooting will take place in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and other areas of New Mexico through July 20, 2012. The film's remaining supporting players are still being cast in Los Angeles, and smaller speaking roles, extras, stand-ins, and photo-doubles for the film's stars are being cast in New Mexico throughout filming. The casting director is seeking Caucasian, Hispanic, Native American, Asian men to work as extras.

A brand new music-driven pilot titled "Zombies & Cheerleaders" has been ordered by Disney Channel, and the casting directors are looking at talent nationwide for the starring roles in the show. Non Los Angeles actors are submitting video auditions, and many roles are high school student age, however some roles are as young as 7 and as old as 40's. Numerous actors and extras to portray students, parents, and faculty will also be hired. Shooting starts in December at the Los Angeles Center Studios, will take a holiday season break, and continue in January, 2012.

It's a Laugh Productions, which is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, has been given a season pickup for the multi-camera live-action comedy series "Austin & Ally" by Disney Channel. The announcement was made on May 25, 2011. Auditions and casting calls are taking place for the series regulars. Casting for guest stars, day players and extras will continue throughout taping season one in Summer, 2011.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures is set to begin filming the feature film "Real Steel" in June, 2010 and casting is underway. Based on a story by Richard Matheson, "Real Steel" is being executive produced by Steven Spielberg. The film is scheduled for a release date of November 18, 2011.
