Disney Channel has started pre-production on Julie Sherman Wolfe's screenplay adaptation of the popular novel 'Avalon High' by Meg Cabot. Avalon High is produced by the same production company (Turtle Rock Productions) that brought you the Disney Channel show 'JONAS' and the Disney XD series 'Zeke and Luther'.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and DreamWorks SKG are holding an open casting calls for a young male actor between the ages of 10 to 14 to play a street-smart kid for its upcoming feature film "Real Steel". Individuals can also submit video auditions through the official casting web site. Shooting will take place in Detroit, Michigan beginning June, 2010.





 
 




127 hours is an upcoming true-story film directed by Danny Boyle and with screenwriter Simon Beaufoy who previously teamed up to make the Academy Award winner movie Slumdog Millionaire. Filming is expected to run from March 8, 2010 through April 30, 2010, with Fox Searchlight releasing it in time for awards season in late 2010.

This actress will have film or theater experience, and must be able to portray a Police Officer. Uniform will be provided. Any body type is being considered, and role has both comedy/drama. The extras casting director for the feature film "Six Month Rule" is currently seeking background actors in the Shreveport, Louisiana area. The film, directed by and starring Blayne Weaver, is about a womanizer who teaches his clueless friend the rules about being single and avoiding emotional attachment.




 
 




Hasbro has teamed with Universal Pictures to bring the feature film "Battleship" to the big screen, and casting for all roles is now underway. The film will begin shooting May, 2010 in Austrailia and Hawaii. The release date is now set for May 25, 2012.
